About Cafopros (Hog)

Treatment

A highly concentrated dry blend of multiple bacterial spores, designed to biologically digest organic swine waste.

Advantages

Swine waste is typically managed using lagoons that rely on existing microbes to eat the organic matter and break it down into sludge and liquid. These bacteria are often inefficient at waste digestion and a large amount of noxious odors are generated, such as ammonia. To combat these malodors and increase solids degradation, microbial additives are used in the lagoons as a reliable way to manage the waste and keep the system running

smoothly.

Our Approach

Cafo Pros scientifically researched Swine Waste Treatment 50B (SWT 508) includes specifically selected bacteria known to efficiently digest odor-causing organic waste. They then utilize the ammonia as a nitrogen source for growth, producing more microbial cells, which then eat even more waste. The result is a decrease of ammonia and other malodors which can lead to better animal health, shorter finishing times, decreased energy costs, and improved worker safety.
